it's no big deal being stuck with one carrier if you like them, the big deal is att altering stock phones to meet their spec.
They do this because they can. They do this because of the way they operate in the US.
And that is why it's horrible.
like buying a 1080p TV and sears altering it so that you can only watch 720p.
