Unless you are using a quality class 4 microSD card you will have slowdowns. The class of the card has nothing to do with read speed and everything to do with sequential write speeds, i.e. class 10 writes sequentially at 10MB/s, these are best suited for cameras. Class 4 have the fastest random 4k read speeds (
afaik, class 6 MAY be faster), this makes a ton of difference when running apps off the card. I would suggest leaving the apps on the internal storage unless you run out of space.
