I don't know... all those sound more like hits at Android itself, rather than HTC in particular... I'm no expert (obviously) but in cases like this, the company being sued will almost always plug away with the "offending" (HTC) technology until the very instant that they can't (they lose the case), and even then, they usually end up settling in a way that allows the "offended" (Apple) to cash in on royalties while sales continue.
I personally think the suit is just harassment anyway, because if Apple wanted to be consistent, they'd be suing Microsoft because Windows 7 "kinda looks like Mac OS", and suing laptop makers for adding multi-touch movements into their touch panels (my girlfriend's Gateway she just got has this).
So while I doubt this will stop 2.1 from being officially released, I am kinda pissed that once again, I seem to have bought a phone that has an "end of life" just a couple months after I get it...
