My experience with the Behold 2 really has been a huge disappointment. Like many others, I looked forward to this phone and the promise, i.e. hype, of Android. The Behold 2 "Experiment" by Samsung and T-Mobile has just opened my eyes to the plain fact THEY HAVE NO INCENTIVE TO UPDATE A RELEASED PHONE. One of the main tenets of Android was supposed to be this open source, anyone-can-update-your-own-phone mantra; hardly the case from what I have read in the forums. This product was way over promised by T-Mobile and Samsung. I had worse reception at home, more dropped calls, consistent-random reboots with the Behold 2. Never has there been clear and consistent
GOOD customer service, neither from Samsung nor T-Mobile; service reps with no clue this phone was even an Android based system, no idea if any updates were coming out.
I have cut my losses on the Behold 2; I sold it and am awaiting a move to Verizon. My $0.02 is to sell your phone on Craigslist or
Nextwork.com (that is how I unloaded mine) or some other similar site. That is the only way to send a message to Samsung and T-Mobile; flood the street with used Behold 2's thus, reducing any incentive for new/current customers to but a new Behold 2. The simple responsible thing we can all due here is attempt to educate other consumers to, what I would basically say is a product, Behold 2, not ready for market and services from T-Mobile/Samsung, not ready to support their customers post-purchase.
I will
NEVER buy another Samsung product, again.
I will soon be leaving T-Mobile after over
9 YEARS as a customer.
