After reading Lucky's last post, I thought I might try to hold out with him...until the mic dropped on FIVE back-to-back calls to family members last night while making arrangements for my grandmother's funeral. Rather than take a handset that can't make calls to PA with me, I contacted VZW and requested a new phone.
I had to argue to get free overnight shipping and an extended battery (which I have for the Nexus), but in the end I should have a refurb Rezound tomorrow morning. I'm not expecting to love the HTC device (or its GB/Sense UI) like I did the Nexus, but if it functions half as good AND makes reliable calls, I hope to stick it out for the last 3/4 of my contract.
Good luck to the rest of you. I'll be checking back occasionally to see if waiting would have been the better option. I truly hope this issue is resolved soon so that those of you who held on can finally enjoy ALL that this phone was meant to be.
