Idk whether to blame Sprint or HTC, because i know damn well HTC is adding their HTC bullshit to the phone to try and make it more superior than the original Android home screen. Every company has to add a part of them to a phone... Its annoying me.

Seriously? What is so hard about making this update?
I disagree with you. I don't think Sense is BS. I like Android a lot. I've tried it with and without Sense, and I find that Sense enhances my experience with the OS. I am not a developer, and I don't know what is so hard about adapting, testing, or releasing the update. Therefore I have no basis on which to judge. What I do know is that I bought my phone knowing full well that both the hardware and 1.5 were yesterday's tech. I researched my options, and I made my own choice. Neither Sprint nor HTC held a gun to my head, the responsibility for the result is mine alone. I understand all the fragmentation arguments. The bottom line point is, each of us knowingly bought an obsolete phone, by choice, so what do we have to complain about? The update will come when it comes. Patience cures stress.

I've rooted mine and I'm currently running 2.1 with Sense. Everything works for me except VVM, because it is based on a VZW build, but that will be resolved once the Sprint version drops. Everything else works, and works well. I can pretty much all but promise that you are all going to be very happy campers. 2.1 works much smoother and snappier than 1.5 ever did, the browser is faster, Flash10 works well, multi-touch implementation is terrific, and my battery life is much improved. New apps such as Goggles are amazing.

Rooting is not for everyone, I understand the reasons, I get it, no argument. If you want to try rooting, you can get in on this. If not, then patience is your friend. But blaming Sprint or HTC for the choice you yourself made at the time is, IMO, selfish at best, or at worst, delusional. Relax.
