I'm sorry but it has to be said in no uncertain terms. Trust me, you don't want to do that.
If your app does not load instantly, the solution is NOT to show a splash screen: the solution is to defer loading of parts that are not immediately needed until right before (if!) they
are needed.
Question: Who here thinks that splash screens are a good thing?
