That "android map" is for the one crappy android phone they sell as a "straight talk android phone", it doesn't apply to GSM phones you buy a SIM for. And that phone uses sprint's network. Idk don't ask me why.

TracFone's Straight Talk Android phones will use Sprint's network - FierceWireless

But if you get an unlocked GSM phone, it is literally impossible to use sprint's crappy coverage (Yes I am thankful for my virgin mobile phone, but will switch as soon as I have the money) so you actually use att and t-mo's network. Yes. Straight talk has a MVNO service through everyone except
