Just got the following email from Negri:
To many, being first is a necessity. To us, it is a requirement. While we do not have great news for our customers, we still anticipate to be the first to carry the Galaxy S III, but the date has been set to the 29th. Our supplier originally gave us a firm date of arrival for the 25th, but has failed to follow through with the promise– putting us in a compromising position with our reputation and name. We anticipate having the Blue, 16GB Galaxy S III before the White. At this time we are not trying to assume a delay from Samsung; but the White is expected to arrive June 1st.
This update will cause many customers to want to cancel and try and find a better option to secure the hottest device of the year. While we cannot stop anyone from cancelling their order, we can only promise to provide you with the most up to date information possible to allow you to make an educated decision regarding your pre-order and whether to keep it with Negri Electronics. Although our promise of an early ship date of the 25th has fallen through, we want you to know that your order is safe and secure and will ship promptly on the 29th. If for any reason you wish to cancel prior to this ship date, you can and it will be of no conflict to call or email our NegriCare staff to do so.
To make up for what we are unable to deliver, we have decided that if you choose to keep your order with us, we will offer you a $25 discount on the order. We will charge you $25 less than the price you originally agreed to pay in your pre-order ($667.50). This is the first time any company has offered to do this for a product that has such media buzz and anticipation around the device's arrival. The Galaxy SIII is stated to be the hottest device in Samsung (maybe even the world) history. We value your business, not the profit. So for that reason in itself, we want to make sure you not only receive this product, but also purchase it at an unbelievably low price-- one that no one else can or is even willing to match.
We trust that you will do what you feel is right; whether that be to cancel or keep your order with Negri Electronics. We appreciate the opportunity that was given to us to provide this great device for you and we will not let you down.
