dougunater, if you have a loose Micro USB connector on the base of the phone, there must have been excessive force put on the plug and or it was forced in the wrong way.
The connector block is soldered and firmly cemented to the circuit board and would not normally become separated in normal use.
I have serviced 2 of these phones (complete strip downs) and renewed LCD and Digitizer screens. Care must be taken to ensure that the correct Micro USB B connector is used (the one supplied with the phone).
This connector has the International USB symbol moulded into the plastic and should be inserted with the symbol facing up when plugging in and the phone screen facing you. Neil.
