i thought the maintenance release resolved the SMS battery drain. Since removing handcent and going back to the stock SMS app I have noticed a considerable difference in my battery consumption.
Just to confirm is there any app on the market which does not use the stock SMS app as a back end?
I do not understand why I would still be having performance issues with the my Hero.
