It actually depends on the phone in use.
I just set the Rezound to 3G, called somebody (voice) and surf the internet (data) on the phone at the same time.
Voice goes on the voice-band or whatever we call it
Even when we have the Mobile Network (data) switched off, the voice calls will go out and calls will come in too...
