My phone has always had a problem with overheating & a crapass battery life (a new one is ordered) so that update didn't help those issues with my phone.
Second, we just had internet installed at the house again. AT&T Uverse I haven't had any problems with my phone & wifi issues. Now here is where I got confused, are y'all saying if I root then I will start having issues? I don't even have to manually start that stupid metro easy wifi like I did with my admire before I rooted it. It automatically connects. So if there is a design flaw shouldn't everyone have problems? Or you have to have a certain modem? I want to root in the next few days, but not if I can't have stable wifi
Sorry if I'm not catching on to the obvious, some days are like that
I do not think that rooting will give you issues. i just didn't notice mine until i had. furthermore the 2wire routers that att used to have...not sure about anymore...were kickass and i doubt you would have issues.
the reason that this issue is so complex is because its a pure software issue. metro didn't pay lg to quality test the code for the wifi connection hardwares compatability. thusly we all have different issues with different hardware. what may work for some may not for others. the manager at my local store had no issues with belkin whereas i did. her tech guy had no issues with linksys whereas i did. it is something where you are going to either flash a custom rom with more stabilized code, or just try everything that's been outlined and see what works. hell you may continue to be issue free.
To outline it simply we all have the same software and possibly the same hardware in our phones. the software that controls the phones wifi is buggy though and causes random issues.
