there's an awesome Brightness Widget (by CurveFish I believe) in the market... much much better than the one on the power strip widget...
allows brightness selection from 0, 25, 50, 75 and 100.... and you know exactly which one you're one once selected... and also quick access to slider bar for fine tuning values...
