When I asked what phone you had, I forgot this was the HTC Hero section! So should have know what phone you were using!
As far as a bigger battery, Seidio has a couple. One that is just a little more capacity than the stock battery (but same physical size), and one that is over 2 times the capacity (but makes the phone thicker). I haven't tried either, so can't tell you how much better they are than the stock battery. I just keep a charger in my car / office desk / home....
