Haha! I hate those pocket point and shoots with a passion. I want to throw my wife's out the window every time she hands it to me to use. I'm a Canon person, but Nikon makes great stuff too. But me and pocket sized point and shoots do not get along, lol.

You'll probably want to try and take a few lower res shots first and see how they look on your computer and see if it helps with the shot times before you shoot your whole trip like that I would hate for you to just take my word for it and come back with crappy pics because of it. It shouldn't noticeably affect the quality, but ya never know
