Put the 2.3.4-380 to 2.3.5-418 (or whatever version you require) on your sd-card and apply update using the stock recovery, or download and install the update from your phone settings.
Run Voodoo, Restore Root, Delete Backup

Will voodoo do all this? also where do I find the 2.3.4 to spf. Is there any instructions on how to do the spf. ? i have done it before but its been long time.
You can find any tools and instructions in the stickies in this forum.
And all Voodoo does is protect your root. It will back up and restore root files, temporarily unroot your phone, and restore your root.

Basically you're going to backup everything you want to (MyBackup has become my favorite backup utility lately), flash your phone using RSD Lite and the 2.3.4 SBF file, root your phone, install and use Voodoo, update to 2.3.5, then restore root with Voodoo.

Remember, take some time and look through the stickies.
