These types of threads are where Android gets this unjust tarnished image in regards to updates. If JB were never mentioned, people would still be gushing over ICS and truly enjoying their fine piece of hardware. Mention that Google is working on a new OS, though? All of a sudden everyone
lots of people start bitching and moaning about their carrier, how long you have to wait for updates, whether or not their phone will be supported, blah blah blah.
It is almost as though they'd be better off not working on that sort of development. Every time they show signs of progressing, people get all sorts of pissed that they aren't on the leading edge any longer. Guess what? That's how technology works.
Give me a device that works really well day 1 and maintain it so that it continues to function as well on the 700th day as it does on the 1st day. If the powers that be see fit to add some increased functionality and new features? Icing on the cake.
