MotoFail should root everything up to .905, if you update and lose root for some reason just run it again. see http://androidforums.com/bionic-all-things-root/413871-motorola-droid-bionic-all-things-root-guide-updated-2-14-12-a.html#motofail

To root your Bionic:
steps 1,2, and 4 will be from your PC
  1. Install the Motorola Drivers:
  2. Download motofail
  3. Put your Bionic into USB Debugging and USB Charge Only modes
  4. Run motofail's run.bat
