An hour and a half on 17% is horrible for an S3.. with the amount of usage u described especially... I can get 4 hours average on 15% with that kind of usage per hour. I unplug at 8am and have about 50-60% left when I get off work at 5pm. I've yet to hit under 50%... NO, I don't stream netflix at work or do anything crazy, but I do use it to sync emails, mms/sms plenty, snap some photos, browse the web when I'm on smoke breaks, etc.. Typical average user usage. I don't even turn on power saver or any of that..

I will say that conditioning your battery does indeed help after a few full cycles though. Charge it full, use it down to 10% or so and charge full again. Don't keep your phone charging while using at home unless completely necessary for the first few cycles atleast.

Edit: just realized he said 13%. Still should be better, but I would give it time before panicking since it's brand new. Also I'll add that I'm using the quad core international without LTE so that may make a difference too.
