Default Linux based XBMC

Hi all,

I thought I would give the linux based XBMC firmware a try from

Pivos Forums • View topic - Official Pivos XBMC Linux port (Beta Release 082412)

This is for the Pivos XIOS DS box but as far as I can tell its compatible with my ATV1000. Everything works using this firmware - mouse, keyboard etc and it is MUCH faster. Bootup is about 30 seconds and video playback is smooth at 720p. I have a problem if I set it to 1080p where is displays the image on about half the screen so I will stick to 720p for now.

Not being an expert with Linux I haven't got the T119 tuner stick working but the drivers are available on the Geniatech website. XBMC allows you to run all sorts of programs using its Advanced Launcher app.
