I think it depends how much you want to pay. I got mine on offer for £100 so really can't complain about any of its short-comings for that money.
If it were a case of paying full price (around £160 - £180) then the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 is out and better in terms of spec. I think it only has Gingerbread though (might be upgradeable) and the exterior doesn't look as nice as the HTC.
