i had the same problem, but i was able to get it working by using a new Samsung USB cable and a Samsung wall adapter, and for some odd reason not really sure why but it seemed to fix it, because i haven't had any problems for about 7 months now
equally as strange i found out that if i use any other USB or wall adapter that's not Samsung then it will kill my battery.
