If you would like to access your application without purchasing it again, reset your device and sign in using the Google Account used at the time of purchase. Before the factory reset, make sure that your contacts are synced to your Google account by logging into Gmail from a computer and verifying if your contacts appear there.
If your contacts are not synced, then we recommend updating your sync settings at Settings > Accounts and Sync
and choosing either AutoSync or touching the account you would like to sync and choosing "Sync Contacts."
Along with syncing contacts, please back up any important application data and/or settings by navigating to Settings > Privacy
and selecting "Back up my data" and "Automatic restore."
To complete the factory data reset process, you will need to complete the following steps:
For Android 1.6 devices, visit Settings > SD Card and phone storage > Factory data reset
. For Android 2.0 devices, visit Settings > Privacy > Factory data reset
. This will wipe all data on your device; the SD/memory card will not be touched.
Sign in to your device using the username and password of the Google Account you originally used to purchase your applications. If you do not know the password for this account, please visit the Google Wallet Help Center article about Passwords
for instructions to reset the password.
Reinstall the application by visiting My Apps
Note: If you’re a Google Apps user, it’s likely that your apps are associated with your Google Apps account. If you try logging in with your personal account and your apps still aren’t available for download, we recommend resetting your device again and logging in with your Google Apps account.
