I'm very excited about this too! However, I think 16 days is extremely optimistic. Realistically I would imagine we (Phoenix residents) see 4G toward the end of the year. Either way.. its great news!

If Boston was any indication, you'll start getting 4G reception in select metro areas during the testing phase. And once the go-live is officially announced, there will still be lots of areas that don't get 4G coverage. Over time, hopefully, those pockets get addressed, and the coverage area gets expanded.

I think you're right. I would expect that with any new network launch.

wonder when? its weird that phoenix as big as it is wasnt on thier list of who should actually get 4g

So you guys started this post a very long time ago. I do have 4g at my house in Scottsdale, BUT it is only because Clearwire LLC is right across the street... It is not because 4g is here because just two miles south at my work, nada... It's quite frustrating... Verizon is blazing it up. Sprint is not even trying. If they are, then please do let me know.

Oh and one more lil tid bit. My 4g is running 5 down and 1 up at best. So what exactly is all of this talk about WIMAX being the fastest on the market..? My friend's VZW Samsung Nexus is pulling 14 down and 5 up inside a building. That is fast!

This is extremely sad. Phoenix is the 5th or 6th largest city in the US, and we don't have 4G...

We better get some LTE love!!!

For the record, this is more a Clearwire issue than it is Sprint. It's not like Sprint doesn't want to get 4G out there to people, but Clearwire has not expanded their services, thus Sprint cannot provide to your city. You can be sure that you'll be seeing some LTE love though.
