Hi everybody,
I’ve run into a problem with my text messages on my phone. Two days ago I received a text message and was able to read it fine but the text message alert (the envelope in the status bar) didn’t go away when I read it. I powered the phone off and removed the battery to try to clear alert but it didn’t work.
The next morning the alert cleared when I received and tried to read another text message. I wasn’t able to read the new text message and the text message conversation with that person disappeared from the text message window. I can create a new text message and add this person to the new message and the conversation reappears but only contains messages from before two days ago.
I can send text messages and the people receive them but my phone shows no record of the text. Also, Timescape doesn’t show any received texts from people since two days ago.
I’ve tried powering off the phone and removing the battery for an hour or so several times and it hasn’t changed anything.
In other strange things happening in the past two days, the radio function has crashed twice and saving audio files to the music player has changed. The radio crashes about once per two weeks. The audio files are downloaded every few days from a radio station for over a year now with no problems. They normally show up in the Newly Added smart playlist but now they are only showing in the All Tracks list.
I haven’t added any new apps nor have I tried to update the software recently.
Any ideas on how I can get my text messages working correctly?
