I just installed an AVI video file on my Galaxy Tab2 and it will not play. I then converted the AVI file to a IPad (Mp4) file using Miro Video Converter, and the video then would play. So if you want your AVI Videos to play on your Galaxy Tab2, you will have to convert them.
