I just hit 107.6° (took tethering and keeping screen on to do it) and still no problems.
Myself I have battery widget installed with alerts set to let me know when my phone hits 100.4°, 104°, and 107.6°… it hits 100.4° from time to time and rarely higher.
But I figure with the stock kernel I was hitting 100° and up so oc'ed 70% over stock having reminder alerts set is a good idea.
