You don't have Gingerbread. OK. So does that mean you DO have ICS? The ICS update from Sprint came out in July. Did you accept the update?

I don't have ICS because I don't accept the update, and I haven't tried this but I read that clearing the cache can sometimes fix problems. Clearing the cache will get rid of old data. Doing a factory reset does not clear the cache. You need to do this below. This should not affect your data...

-turn off phone
-pull out battery for 1 minute.
-replace battery.
-push and hold both the power button and the volume up at the same time until the screen comes on, then let go of both.
-wait a few seconds then use the volume
up/down to go to "wipe cache partition" and press the home key to select it. DO NOT SELECT WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET OR YOU WILL LOOSE ALL YOUR DATA.
-when that completes, use the volume up/down to select "reboot system now" and press home to select it.

Your phone will now restart and search for any updates.
