I don't know what you mean by this. Following the flash method precisely shouldn't give you any problems.

I've not experienced this so I cannot say for certain. I'm not sure the process is any different between ROMs. There is a recent discussion about it in this forum, IIRC, led to a successful restoral (I don't think flashing stock will fix it).
