I'm in no hurry to see LTE service. HSPA+ is pretty fast and easier on batteries, but there's other reasons carriers want to go to LTE. In VZW and Sprint's case it's got a lot to do with needing badly to get rid of friggin' CDMA. For T-Mobile and AT&T it has largely to do with maximizing usage of their available bandwidth.
