Google Maps - How ERASE "Manage Your Places" Location Settings??!
I have an original HTC EVO 4G (rooted running MikG ROM) using Google Maps 6.14.1 and have a VERY annoying problem with the following setting:
Google Maps Menu —> Settings —> Location Settings —> Manage your places (at the bottom under "Check-Ins")
I have two locations there…I recognize the addresses and have been to those places but don't know why there are saved here. The header says "Tap on a place to change its settings" and when I do so, the only options are checkboxes to "Automatically check in here" and to "Remind me to check in here"
I want to TOTALLY ERASE THESE LOCATIONS, however, there is NO OPTION to do so!! One of the locations is marked as "Home" and it is NOT MY HOME ADDRESS!!
Now people might ask if I could possibly get this off my phone buy going online to my Google Maps account. Well, tried that too!!
I go to Google Maps online and "My Places." There is a list of places I've visited, maps I've created, starred places, etc. At the very top is a location icon "Home." THAT "Home" has my correct address…but it is NOT PROPAGATING to the phone!! Even if I erase the "Home" address online the phone STILL does not correct this odd Locations/Places" setting saved to my phone.
Annnnnd, after setting "Home" in "My Places" online I can go back to my phone and use either "Check in" or "Latitude" to check into my CORRECT "Home" address that I typed in/confirmed online, however, the the info at Google Maps Menu —> Settings —> Location Settings —> Manage your places (at the bottom under "Check-Ins") STILL has the SCREWED UP "Home" address and other address that I cannot get rid of!!
Soooo, can't erase these two "rogue" locations on my phone using Google Maps, Check-Ins or Latitude...and can't do anything online!
Pardon my French by HTF do I get rid of these two locations on my phone either using my phone or online?? Any clue??
