Hi, in recent days, I've developed the same issue. I've found no help on other forums. Have you solved this issue? I recently switched to a new battery, I've been wondering if there is some connection to the new 3rd party battery I installed.

Anyway... my Galaxy Nexus appears to go into an alert "loop" every time the battery goes under 15%. The alert pops up every 5 seconds until I plug in the charger. The popup brings the phone back from "sleep" and this obviously drains whatever little energy is left in the battery. And the phone goes completely dead in about 5 minutes.
If anybody has a solution for the "loop", that would be perfect. Otherwise, the second best option would be if somebody can explain how to lower the alert threshold to... say 5%. And the third best option, if none of the above is possible, would be to disable this alert altogether.
