Verizon is looking worse than AT&T these days.
It really is a bummer, but I'd be lying if I said I was surprised. Samsung phones never use to be locked, but then the gs3 and note 2 come along and that trend completely changed. I can say with relatively high confidence that any subsidised Verizon phone will be locked and encrypted from now on
