Rooted my HTC EVO 4G about a month after I got it. I've been root ever since. I now have the HTC EVO 4G LTE Rooted and am currently running JellyBomb on it. Such a fresh install that I'm still in process of doing it now

I never even waited with the ELTEVO I charged it and rooted it as soon as it was out of the box.
