Default Galaxy Nexus Audio Issues

Hi All,

I'm having issues with my Galaxy Nexus automatically and unpredictably pausing my audio playback at its own discretion. As I use the phone as my primary portable media player on the go, this is getting to be supremely frustrating. In reading various forums, I've heard it suggested that turning off all voice input options (Voice-to-text, accessibility options etc.) could be the cure for this problem. I've turned off all settings related to voice input and still the problem persists. I've also tried a number of different media player apps to no avail.

I purchased the phone in mid-August from Expansys, as it was a solid balance between price and performance and seemed to be well respected by those reviewing it. It's unlocked (obv.) and currently updated to Android 4.2

Does anyone know of a cure for this issue? Help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
