You can take pretty much any non-LTE Verizon phone to Page Plus (a Verizon MVNO) without doing anything special to the phone. About 20% of the time I've had to manually program the phone when dialing the activation code (*228xx) didn't work, but there's no flashing or hacking involved. If continuing to use your Verizon phone is a factor for you, this may be your best bet.
