Yeah the button on the bottom row of the keyboard, which I suppose may not actually be a settings button as you may already have changed it by long pressing. When you long press the settings/other symbol you should be presented with 8 icons in 2 rows, the clipboard is in the bottom row of these.
As stated by dfran1 if you are on ics there is no clear all button like on jb so you need to long press each entry and delete them one by one.
I was able to find the clipboard icon, but it doesn't respond...
Before my issue returned, I was able to see the past clippings when I pressed on the clipboard icon and able to clear them.
