Take a tape measure, fold it over and put the end of it on your birth year a large U. Find the current year on one side, and on the back side will be your age you would turn during the year. So for me I would fold it over and line up the end with '75. I would find '12 and on the back side it would say 37 on the folded over side.
As I mentioned earlier, I think it still works for folks born after 2000 but they would need to go over 100 inches (i.e. born in 2002 would line the end of the tape up to 102 inches).
Not seeing it. If you do as you said, will have 0/75, 1/74, etc for 37 would be 33, not 12...
It does work if you fold over the tape, so that the last two digits of the current year are lined up with the 100" mark, then if you go to your birth year, on the back side will be your age... Is that what you meant?
