I like this idea, too!
Lots of Android-generic things that could be put into such a forum.
Perhaps call it "white hat hacking"?
Also, XDA commonly uses "hacking" in their forum structure:
AFV (Android File Verifier)
- file checksum (MD5, SHA1, etc.), signed jar / .zip verifier, and Nandroid backup verification
OTA Verifier (beta)
- verify an over-the-air (OTA) update.zip or other flashable .zip file
Android Root Toolkit
- useful root functions / utilities
