During the whole Y2K thing I started using the ISO standard for dates, which is 4-digit year, two digit month and two digit day number separated by dashes. So my calendar says "2012-12-12". 2012-12-12 == 1988. That's the year I got my first career job, and the first new car with my own credit. I think it was a La Niņa year. Not very exciting...
