I found a great new widget app today https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rdr.widgets.core

I use the Facebook and calendar widgets, which has replaced Pure Messenger Widget and S2 calendar widget on my homescreen.

Nice, clean widgets and the developer offers quick support for any issues.
