As midnight approaches on the east coast...
Merry Christmas to my AF Friends. I seem to know more about your lives than those of some family and friends.
And Happy Hannukah, Kwanzaa and Festus too! I really enjoy your camaraderie.
Now this old saw has been around the block, but it's worth repeating.
One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, “My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all. One is Evil. It is fear, anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.” The grandson thought for a moment and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf wins?” The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”
I'll try to feed to Good one.
Wishing each of you a happy, healthy and prosperous 2013.
