Default sync schedule-

I cannot seem to be able to schedule when emails are Synced to my Samsung Note 10.1 tablet. I have a galaxy S3 phone which obviously has the same settings menu but in the settings for each email account the tablet does not have.a "Sync schedule'' facility like the S3. I can't believe this useful setting is not included or am I looking in the wrong place.-Any help would be appreciated. Thanks and Happy New Year to everyone.
