The specs say
Dual Sim, supports W+G / G+G
2G:GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz
3G:WCDMA/HSPA: 900/2100MHz

Am I right in saying that this is as much use as a bucket of steam in a desert? Because all the countries across Europe were forced by European Legislation to switch off analogue television and use the 800MHz band for 4G from 2013 onwards.

So will there be a Lenovo dual sim phone that will work in Europe?
The phone supports 2G and 3G networks, so I don't really get why it should be at problem, that it does not support 4G frequencies...

I can see that you have highlighted that 2G supports 850MHz, and compare that to 4G 800MHz network. Even if the phone had 2G 800MHz, you would not be able to use it on a 4G 800MHz network, you do understand that right? 2G, 3G and 4G are different technologies using different frequencies. So no, you are not right.
