What I noticed with both BlueBuds X and Tone+, their volume adjustment is independent of the actual phone volume. When I use wired Samsung headpones with in-line remote, going up/down in volume gets mirrored and reflected on the phone's screen where I can see volume being adjusted as well. With these BT stereo headphones (part of bt protocol?) you get about 8 adjustment steps to turn it up/down while the volume on the phone stays exactly where it was before. You can control phone volume with its own buttons, but bt control is almost like fine tuning of that.

Curious about other people's experience with BT headphones w/phone & media control, does it work the same way?
