Noise cancellation is not active, just by a virtue of a tight earplug of your ear canal They gotta have some kind of a noise rejection when you are on call because people suggested of hearing me loud and clear. Regarding my previous comment of hearing other side on the call, it's really how you position blue buds in your ear. As a matter of fact, JayBird recommends under ear position for phone calls, while over-ear for music/media. These are intended more for an active lifestyle use and superior sound quality. Actually, at the current moment these are my favorite to watch movies/tv on Note 2. Some of the best sound I heard coming from earbuds.
