One thing I noticed is that even though I am connected to a wi-fi, the phone is constantly scanning for a wi-fi network every 5 seconds (I see this in the Wi-Fi settings), and think this may be causing my problem. Is there a way to turn it off. Are others seeing any issues with the wi-fi?
I am using a dlink DIR655, its a few years old. Hardware version A2, and firmware 1.33NA. I have done a speed test, and have done the channel test using wifi analyzer and don't see any problems. I may have to get a new router as SMALBA suggests
