You are right about Samsung saying the easy fix is to add an SD card. They fail to mention the fine print, being that unless you are rooted Android took away the ability to install apps on SD card.

So you're right their "fix" is very misleading as many people when they run out of space for apps on their 16GB S4 only have 2 options: Root their device to use SD for apps, or buy the bigger 32GB model.

And not everyone is going to be savvy enough to mess around with rooting their device.
