Default htc one via tmobile

my feedback on my htc one buying experience:

acting on suggestions here and elsewhere to go with t-mobile version due to 1700 support, i did.

the trade-offs:
1. you have to pay tax
2. you have to wait for unlocking anywhere from 1 to 2 months depending whom you are talking to.
3. they dont give you prepaid plan immediately, they sign you for post-paid (collecting your private data in the process), which you can cancel immediately after getting phone, but it is still a hustle.
4. returns are much more restricted than at htc

so it's a wild, wild west in this domain, murky waters and all, but it's probably worth it to finally escape from the jail..

i envy the europeans, it's like buying a car over there: you go to the store, fixed price, clear conditions, no smoke and mirrors, sales people don't treat you like a criminal on the run, 15 min later you have your phone/car
